Prep Enrolment 2025

To start primary school in 2025, your child will need to turn 5 years old by 30 April 2025. Schooling is compulsory for children who have turned 6 years old.

Beginning in 2024, our school will use an online system for enrolments for Prep’s commencing in 2025. All primary schools in Inner East and Outer East areas of the North East Victoria Region of the Department of Education, Victoria, are using this online system. The new online enrolment system has been assessed by the Department of Education to a high degree of security in line with the Victorian Protective Data Security Standards and is compliant with ISO 27001, the leading international standard for information security.

The online system will be available for students who are enrolling in a Victorian Government School for the first time. Generally, this includes:

  • Foundation (Prep) students
  • Students at any year level who are joining from interstate or a non-government school in Victoria.

You will be able to apply to enrol your child in Foundation (Prep) 2025 at Gembrook Primary School from 15th April 2024.

To commence online enrolment:
Visit
https://students.educationapps.vic.gov.au/s/ to create an account and complete the online application form. Please ensure that all documents required are attached to the application.

Schools that are not part of the online enrolment program in 2024 will continue to use paper-based application forms.

The Department of Education (DE) has a statewide Foundation (Prep) enrolment timeline.

The timeline advises families when and how to enrol their child into Foundation (Prep) at a Victorian government primary school, including Gembrook Primary School.

You can find information and resources about the enrolment timeline and procedures at: Enrolling in Foundation (Prep) or by reading the Enrolment information Pack for Parents and Carers at the link below.
